Moon River - Andy Williams/ Audrey Hepburn

An oldie, I enjoy the soft undertones of the backing music and the strength of the vocal performance. This song has been performed by a multitude of stars including Elton John and Frank Sinatra but this version happens to be my favorite I've heard. Originally written for Audrey Hepburn, it is sung in Breakfast at Tiffany's. This song is beautifully done too for its very simple acoustic beginning.

Moon River

Moon river, wider than a mile
I'm crossing you in style some day
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker
Wherever you're goin', I'm goin' your way

Two drifters, off to see the world
There's such a lot of world to see
We're after the same rainbow's end, waitin' 'round the bend
My huckleberry friend, moon river, and me

(moon river, wider than a mile)
(I'm crossin' you in style some day)
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker
Wherever you're goin', I'm goin' your way

Two drifters, off to see the world
There's such a lot of world to see
We're after that same rainbow's end, waitin' 'round the bend
My huckleberry friend, moon river, and me
